Painted Roses (2012)

Contact

A digital painting from an original photograph taken in 2012. In the Victorian language of flowers, a pink rose means love but not the burning passion of a red rose. It's more of tender love both gentle and youthful, or moderate and mature. It is said that Mary shed a single tear as she watched Jesus carry his cross up the hill to his death and where her each of her tears landed, a single pink rose bloomed there.
